About

I’m Archie M. de Lara, born and raised in Nueva Ecija, Philippines.  When not abroad, I prefer residing in Metro Manila.  I took up my Bachelors in Science Degree on Food Technology in Central Luzon State University and immediately worked with various food companies engaged into bakery and restaurants.  This led to creation of The Food Techie blog in March 2012.  After about five years in the food industry, I searched for a new venture.

In my attempts of liberalizing myself financially by aiming for high-income jobs, I changed career into audio transcription.  I attended training on medical transcription at MTC Academy in 2005.  It was a quick decision after engaging into various small entrepreneurial endeavors among which was being a part-time Sales Counselor for PhilAm Plans.  While working as medical transcriptionist in Advanced MT Data, I also gained experience in teaching and at one time, was employed at PeopleSupport also as an Medical Transcriptionist.

Upon learning of the phenomenal surge of the popularity of the web, I started writing for Internet sites and blogging in 2007.  It took me some time to finally create the Transcriptionist Hub to gain more communication and information amongst transcriptionists.  This further presented an opportunity for me to explore home-based audio transcription which I actively started when I became an overseas Filipino worker in Saudi Arabia working as medical records transcriptionist at King Fahd Armed Forces Hospital in Jeddah.  I returned to the Philippines in October 2009 after my contract ended and was on the lookout for medical transcription job opportunities abroad to supplement my home-based medical transcription income-generating activities.

Having to have been progressively working as an independent/home-based transcriptionist/writer, I’m fascinated on how to earn more through the Internet by blogging.  Freelancing online allowed me to create a blog for my internet jobs activities.  Further exploration of the Internet led me to website development.

I had a chance to return again in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to work in various projects from 2010-2014 mainly doing website development for small to medium scale businesses.  But that didn’t stop me from engaging into home-based audio transcription and writing.  I was able to start practice online marketing through paid blog posts.  In an unforeseen event, I returned back in the Philippines in July 2014 and started working in an office setting as medical transcriptionist in a business process outsourcing company called Cognizant Technology Solutions.

Currently, I hope to optimize my working office based and at the same time engage more in my online jobs.
